Ultimate Worldwide Bill of Rights

Let's keep it simple folks:

1. The survival of the human race is paramount
2. The impact that survival has on the environment must be mimimised at all costs
3. Every person is entitled to a belief system provided it does not impact on Right 1 or Right 2
4. Every person has the right to free speech
5. Every person has the right to absolute privacy

Riddle me this...

...so why is it that the numbers on your calculator are set out opposite to the numbers on you touch phone or keyboard?


Why is that huh? Nobody can give me a decent answer. Is it:

a) A copyright issue between the calculator invention guys and the keyboard invention guys?
b) A BETA versus VHS scenario?
c) Something to do with old dial phones? (someone said something about where the zero was...or something like that...)
d) A complete fluke?
e) A conspiracy by those who are responsible for my paranoia?
e) Designed that way so you can clearly tell the difference between when you're adding up the cost of life and not just whinging about it down the receiver?

Any suggests are most welcome. It's bending my head.

...so anyway, I've been MIA for some time, again. Sorry. So much has happened...bought a house (or houseboat on land to be precise), got ourselves pregnant, all in a few months. Loads more to say but will save it for now as I'm at work and skiving to write this. Here's some teaser photos though:
